Projects
District 10 Como Park Community Council
For this project, I partnered with District 10 to create sticker and button designs to highlight native flowers in the community. District 10 currently offers a variety of programs to engage the community. One issue they had was trying to reach a younger demographic. To combat this, I created these designs to appeal to a younger crowd and educate the community on the beauty and importance of Minnesota Native flowers.
Partnership with Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity ReStore
For my senior capstone class we partnered with Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity ReStore to create marketing materials for their Minneapolis location. These design templates were created as social media posts to highlight season deals and donation needs. In addition to these templates, I also created social media posts to highlight ReStore’s functions.
Minnesota Historical Society Protest Sign
For this project, I worked with the Minnesota Historical Society to create a protest sign that was used in a play at the Minnesota History Museum to educate visitors on the Delano Grape Boycott and the role of Dolores Huerta. The piece was originally a physical sign made from foam board and markers. This was later presented to Dolores Huerta at the APWU Conference in 2018. The piece was signed and is on display at the East Side Freedom Library in Minnesota.
Father’s Day Mural
This mural was a volunteer project intended to honor a family member on Father’s Day in 2020. This project was done using spray paint and acrylic paint and took approximately 4 hours to complete. This piece is very visible from the road and was intended to create a sense of community in a neighborhood with a large Minnesota Vikings fanbase to honor all fathers.
